DT Speakers

This was my DT project with Mr. Whitely. We spent a term designing and creating our own speakers. My client was my younger brother, so I made a speaker based off Iron Man because he's one of his favourite superheroes. I had a lot of other ideas for the speaker but some of them I couldn't make due to the limited amount of resources we had.

Moodboard

I created a moodboard based off my brothers interests. It covered things like music, artists, games and characters. It was very helpful in trying to figure out what to base my speaker on as it gave me many options.

CAD Speaker

I created my CAD (Computer Assisted Design) using the application TechSoft Design (or 2D Design). I based it off the drawing I made on paper and it ended up looking almost identical. This was the design that I put on the front of my speaker.

Client + Speaker

Creating the speaker was relatively easy. It involved simple wood work and some soldering to keep certain components in place. Applying the vinyl to the front was much harder. My design was quite complex so I had a lot of vinyl that has to be placed in a very specific order. However, I was very pleased with the outcome, I was patient when applying the vinyl and it paid off.
